2014 Celebrated Artists
265 exciting artists from across the country exhibited paintings, sculpture, jewelry, ceramic, glass, fiber arts, woodwork, photography, mixed media and more. The juried show featured local, San Francisco Bay Area artists as well as highly-lauded artists from across the continent -- Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, the Southwest and Canada. In addition to well-known favorites (artist George Sumner was celebrating his 46th year at the festival) there were over 60 new exhibiting artists.
Dance to the Music
With continuous live music on two stages, the festival once again offered top-name performers this year, including Taj Majal, Tower of Power, Tommy Castro, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Pride & Joy.
sip & Savor
In addition to an international array of delicious foods, the festival offered premium California wines (Rombauer, Domaine Carneros, Frank Family, Stags Leap to name just a few) and all the latest micro-brews, as well as Stella Artois (our Main Stage sponsor). Visitors sipped wine as they made their way across the festival grounds or lingered in the Beer Garden (new this year!) while cooling off with a Speakeasy Prohibition Ale or an Eel River IPA.
Carnevale: Unmask your imagination Gala
Every year the festival begins with an elegant black tie gala chaired by Wayne Kaleck. Attendees previewed the art and visited with the artists at a sumptuous reception, followed by a sit-down dinner by celebrity caterer Dan McCall, music and dancing with The Dick Bright Orchestra. It was an evening filled with wonder. This year the theme was Carnevale Around The World and as always, proceeds from the gala benefit the art festival’s Artist’s Teaching Art program.
