calling all budding picasso’s and Leonardo’s
We believe it is never too early to immerse children in art, and we believe that children should not hinder the ability of their parents to be exposed to great art. So, we have partnered with two of the Bay Area’s leading childhood creativity experts to bring art-focused experiences for children of all ages to the Sausalito Art Festival.
Got kids? Bring them to the Bay Area’s biggest celebration of art for people of all ages and by the way, children under age 12 enter for free!

The Bay Area Discovery Museum Presents “the Messy Art Festival”
Shibori Dyeing: Inspired by the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s Messy Art Fest, we will be getting messy with a creative, hands-on program. Shibori is a traditional Japanese dyeing method dating back to the eighth century! In this program, children will practice the art of Shibori as they dye their own piece of fabric.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is a children’s museum in Sausalito focused on providing fun, high-quality learning experiences for children ages 0-10. Our daily STEM and Art Programs inspire children’s creative problem-solving skills, and is backed by the latest findings from our in-house research department into how children learn best. Exploring our 7.5 acres of indoor and outdoor space—including seven exhibit spaces—encourages children to discover and grown their natural curiosity for the world around them.
